Designed by the Obicua Architecture studio on an extraordinary plot overlooking a stream in Three Falls, Alpine (Utah), this private residence was conceived as an escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Given the stunning beauty of the surrounding environment – featuring an aspen and red pine forest, a stream with multiple waterfalls, and panoramic views – the home was built as a series of terraces and decks that open out onto this natural beauty.
The entire interior design was conceived as a harmonious continuation of the exterior surroundings. The grey and beige tones of the rocks upon which the house is built, inspired the fabrics of the armchairs and sofas, while the materials were chosen to balance the natural light that floods the interiors and shines upon the walls and floors. Nextone by Lea Ceramiche was used for the latter (90x90 cm, 9 mm thick), in the Next White nuance to express “the warm freshness” of stone, creating an expansive effect in the space. Furthermore, the floors by Lea Ceramiche, paired with handcrafted Italian furniture in all of the rooms, give the interior spaces a sense of elegance and contemporary style.
