Lumière at Malcolm Residence

Designed by world-renowned architect William Hefner, the new Lumière at Malcom building is a residence located in downtown Westwood, in the city of Los Angeles. Each residence, with a private terrace, has been created with fine details and finishes, wooden floors and embellished with ceramic surfaces of Italian production. A contemporary architectural project with large outdoor spaces where one can take advantage of many services, including a heated swimming pool with lounge area and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. The surfaces of Lea Ceramiche, with extraordinary performance and impeccable aesthetics, have been selected for the luxurious new project, both for the common areas and for the apartments

In particular, for the entrance and lobby of the residence, the stone-look Nextone collection of the 3-Tech Project, proposal was used, ideal for responding to all possible uses. Being able to count on different technical performances gathered together under a single aesthetic, the collections in 3-Tech Project make it possible to obtain stylistic continuity and technical performance through a single aesthetic code available in different thicknesses, to meet the functional needs of each design: Slimtech, the superior quality large thin slabs that are 100% Carbon Neutral thanks to a strong reduction in emissions during the production chain and the THINk ZERO compensation project for the reduction of CO2 in the most polluted cities; the porcelain stonewarefull body colour with traditional thickness; L2, the 20 mm thick stoneware designed for outdoor solutions.

Nextone was therefore chosen for the common areas in the Next Grey colour, in the 60x60 cm size with a thickness of 9.5 mm, and in the Slimtech variant 120x260 cm and 6 mm thickness. The same collection was used in the welcoming Next Taupe shade, in the 60x60 cm size and 20 mm thickness, for the pool and terraces, designed as spaces used for relaxation, to enjoy a lunch break or an aperitif overlooking the solarium.

For the kitchen, the design studio opted for a backsplash in Slimtech Delight, , in the precious Calacatta Oro shade and in the 120x260 cm size with 6 mm thickness, a collection that interprets a natural and ancient material like marble with a new awareness, in harmony with the most current stylistic codes. The kitchen island, on the other hand, was covered with slabs from the MAXA, brand, also belonging to Panariagroup and specialised in large 12 mm thick slabs in the 160x320 cm size.

Lastly, for the services, the marble-look Timeless Marble collection in the 100x300 cm size and 6 mm thickness was used as a wall covering in the elegant Statuario White colour, able to add allure to the rooms and interpret marble as a treasure chest of elegance. On the floor, instead, Waterfall, was used, in the Dark Flow colour and in the 60x60 cm size and 9.5 mm thickness: a collection able to recreate on the surface of the stoneware the iridescent effects typical of sedimentary rock stones, replicating their textures, irregularities and colour variations.
