During the Milano Design Week 2025, Lea Ceramiche will unveil “Connection Matters – The Layers of Creativity”. Set within the Chiostro Piccolo di San Marco, as part of the dOT - design Outdoor Texture exhibition, organised by VG crea in collaboration with EN Space network, the installation explores the concept of connections, drawing inspiration from natural sedimentation processes. Materials, textures, and colours intertwine in a visual narrative that celebrates the study of materials and creative freedom.
An Ever-Evolving Aesthetic
Lea Ceramiche’s surfaces come to life as they play with depth and visual interaction. The dialogue between the elegant and timeless aesthetic of the world’s most exquisite marbles, captured in Noblesse, and the vibrant chromatic texture of Pigmenti (the award-winning collection designed by Ferruccio Laviani) transforms stratification and connections into a new design language.
The installation captures visitors’ attention thanks to the brand’s ability to transform its ultra-thin Slimtech laminated porcelain stoneware slabs into elegant arches, establishing a dynamic system of materials and colours that harmoniously overlap.
Each element seems to tell a unique story, revealing the extraordinary versatility of Lea Ceramiche’s surfaces: durable, lightweight, sustainable, and flexible, perfect for creating surprising and original compositions. In addition to the arches, the use of mirrors introduces a playful dimension, amplifying the visual effect by reflecting the surrounding environment. In this continuous interplay of shapes and light, the installation conveys the idea of a constantly evolving design.
A Dialogue Between Materials and Architecture
Lea Ceramiche’s presence extends beyond its own installation, weaving through the iconic spaces of the Chiostri di San Marco. The warm surfaces of the Intense collection set the perfect stage for "Cohabitare", the installation designed by the Formafantasma for Perrier-Jouët studio, while the 20-mm-thick slabs used for the outdoor flooring combine high technical performance with an impeccable aesthetic within the spaces of the Chiostro Grande.
An Immersive Experience of Creativity
"Connection Matters" invites visitors to explore the power of the connections between materials, shapes, and sensory perceptions. A captivating journey through substance and design, in which ceramics become a tool that can redefine spaces and provide designers with limitless creative freedom.
