Fabio Novembre was born in Lecce in 1966. In 1984 he went to Milan, where he graduated in architecture at the Politecnico. In 1992 he moved to New York, where he studied filmmaking at the New York University. In 1994 he returned to Milan and established his studio. He has designed works of architecture and interior for the most important international brands. He works with the largest Italian design companies.
The collaboration with Lea Ceramiche was born out of respect and mutual admiration and takes shape in the design of Concreto, the collection that explores the aesthetics of cement in the form of a conceptual operation. Starting from the material that has characterized modern architecture the most, the designer interprets the theme of cement to tell his own material stories, using Lea Ceramiche’s stoneware as a tabula rasa.
In the Concreto decoration, Novembre embraces the central theme of water, the organic element in cement, to transform ceramic into a material collection that can adapt to any context: revealing itself in its wave movements (tide), in its absence (dry), in the patterns of the beings that inhabit it (reef, foam) and in the gravity that conditions it (drops).
