Pigmenti awarded both Archiproducts Design and Sustainability Award

In light of the eighth edition of Archiproducts Design Awards, a momentous occasion which celebrates superior design on an international level, Lea Ceramiche has received both prestigious acclamationsin recognition for their aesthetic and design, as well as their efforts to pursue more sustainable solutions.

The Pigmenti collection, designed by   Ferruccio Laviani, has been awarded not only the Sustainability Award, but likewise been distinguished with the Archiproducts Design Award, a true testament to the perfect balance between its research and creative process for a product that embodies avant-garde values and the ability to interpret surfaces, in doing so introducing endless possibilities of expression and never-before-considered perspective. The final result is a colored texture with delicate structure, where the slightest hint of graphic design provides infinite depth and dynamism, restoring the art of craftsmanship with its distinctive and elemental character both when applied to indoors or outdoors, thanks to large format ultrathin slabs (3x1m). These same characteristics and architectural versatility left the jury awestruck, for they saw this collection as the gateway to the new era of design.

Design was not the only aspect acclaimed by these awards, but also the research that led to this 100% Carbon Neutral product. Lea Ceramiche has provided Pigmenti with the best of its Slimtech 3plus technology: ultrathin porcelain stoneware, only 3.5mm thick, versatile, resistant and capable of offering new vantage points within the world of architecture and everyday life; an expression of technology revolutionizing the traditional approach to a more sustainable future. After having minimized consumption of raw materials, energy, water and CO2 emissions during the production cycles and transportation pollution, thanks to  THINk ZERO, the remaining CO2emissions were eliminated entirely, once calculated over the entire product lifecycle, making it 100% Carbon Neutral.
